Jerry and Sparky’s has been a household name for 57 years. Jerry and his wife Barb started the small operation in 1966. Floyd "Sparky" Winegarden was a long-time bicycle dealer in Davenport, and helped Jerry and Barb get the Schwinn Franchise. Originally, the store was located on 12th and College in East Davenport. Throughout the years, more space was needed to accommodate the successful family operation. The current location was built in 1982 and houses an abundant show floor, repair area, and warehousing. Since then, an addition was added to further increase the show floor area. The customer base continues to expand.

The philosophy of our store is simple: we service what we sell! The sale may be important, but the on-going effort to please the customers and to make their riding experiences pleasant is our goal. This not only pertains to bicycles, but to fitness equipment, clothing, and accessories. Repairing and maintaining a bicycle is very important. While the cycling world continues to advance, our staff adapts to keep current with the latest products and services.
